Students of Universiti Malaya Faculty of Law Visit Hainan First Foreign-Related Civil and Commercial Tribunal
On July 19, 24 Malaysian students from the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya, as organized by the School of Law, Hainan University, paid a visit to Hainan First Foreign-Related Civil and Commercial Tribunal.
During the visit, the students learned about the circumstances in which the Tribunal was set up and its working measures, inquired in detail about Hainan courts’ progress and effects in establishing a “case-filing, trial and enforcement” integrated operation mechanism, and litigation, mediation and adjudication “one-stop” diversified dispute resolution mechanism, and had an exchange with judges from the Tribunal on “China-Malaysia International Commercial Dispute Resolution Rules and Practices”.
Tay Aaron Kai Jit, a student from the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya, believes that the opportunity to study Hainan’s judicial works is a precious one and will have a significant impact upon the academic life and future career of his fellow students.
This visit, an event in the summer international student exchange program, was organized by Hainan University under the support of Hainan High People’s Court and Hainan First Intermediate People’s Court, and the purpose is to establish an exchange platform for young scientific research talents around the world and to deepen the friendship and exchange between Chinese and foreign youths.
