Deng Xiuming meets with chair of Mongolia’s Judicial General Council
Deng Xiuming, executive vice-president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China, has called for strengthening friendly judicial exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Mongolia to provide solid legal guarantees for the building of a China-Mongolia community with a shared future.
Deng made the remarks during a meeting with a Mongolian delegation led by L. Enkhbileg, chair of the Judicial General Council of Mongolia, in Beijing on Nov 18.
During the meeting, Deng noted that China and Mongolia are good neighbors, friends and partners. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the judicial bodies of the two countries have maintained a strong relationship, engaging in fruitful and pragmatic cooperation across various fields, he said.
Deng provided an overview of the work of China's courts, highlighting efforts in the prevention and resolution of disputes at source, the building of the online case archive and the Q&A network, and the establishment of the integrated online case handling and office automation platform for courts throughout the country.
He talked about the strategic planning for rule of law reform at the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, particularly in strengthening foreign-related rule of law and deepening international judicial and law enforcement cooperation.
These reform measures will offer new opportunities for the judicial bodies of China and Mongolia to deepen exchanges and cooperation for common development, he added.
Enkhbileg provided a briefing on the work of the Judicial General Council of Mongolia, and expressed hope to strengthen exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with China's SPC to promote the continuous development of friendly relations between the two countries.
Following the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation.
