On February 10, 2023, the Presidents Meeting of Hainan Courts was convened in Haikou. Dai Jun, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of Hainan High People’s Court attended and delivered a speech. He stressed that Hainan courts shall adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and carry out Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law to vigorously push forward the high-quality development of “new era, new journey” Hainan courts’ work, providing robust judicial service and guarantee by high-quality judicature to expedite the construction of a free trade port of global influence with Chinese characteristics.

The meeting thoroughly summarized Hainan courts’ achievements in the past five years, summed up and extracted the precious experience of “Eight Imperatives”, fully analyzed the new situations and new tasks that Hainan courts are facing, and proposed “five focuses” in working orientation that shall be grasped accurately and “five relations” that shall be addressed correctly in the comprehensive implementation of the 2023 general working thoughts of Hainan courts. The meeting deployed in a concise manner the key works for 2023 and proposed from the perspective of methodology five requirements, i.e., adhere to advancement in stability, enhance systematic ideology, master problem-orientation, highlight feature building and reinforce close-circuit implementation, to guarantee work implementation.
