According to an announcement made on April 14 at the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) Hainan Province Promotion Roadshow, the southern Chinese province is to be ‘Guest of Honor’ at this year’s CIFTIS; and the platform provided by CIFTIS will promote both the policies related to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the latest projects and achievements of Hainan’s trade in services enterprises.

As a national-grade, international, large-scale exhibition and trading platform specially built for trade in services, this year’s CIFTIS will be primarily focusing on hot trends in the development of trade in services and set up in nine areas including telecommunications, computer & information services, financial services, cultural tourism services, educational services, sporting events management, supply chain & business services, engineering consulting & construction services, health services, and environmental services. Broadly inviting more countries and international organizations to set up exhibitions and hold conferences, and to form trading groups, CIFTIS will also—at the same time—be using multiple channels to invite professional visitors to the fair; providing services such as supply and demand docking, trade matching, negotiation and contract signing; and giving exhibitors, customers and merchants more opportunities for cooperation.
