Recently, Hainan’s 2nd National Service Center of Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Overseas Professionals opened in Sanya Deep Sea Science and Technology City. The new center has already signed cooperation and exchange agreements with the Sanya International Seed Technology Innovation Center, the Nanshan International Cultural Heritage Center, and several other institutions.

The China Association for Science and Technology opened this new service center in order to offer more resources for innovation, bring in more talent from around the world, and create a comprehensive international innovation and entrepreneurship platform, speeding the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port as a hub for international high-end talent.

According to a representative of the Hainan Association for Science and Technology, the service center will work together with Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, making full use of Yazhou Bay’s extensive links with international scientific and technological organizations, Chinese academic societies, top international scientists, and other resources. In regards to international talent attraction, entrepreneur incubation, operational mechanisms, and supporting policies, the center will also explore and set up a new ‘Bi-directional Offshore’ model of international talent employment.

A representative of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City spoke on plans to create an excellent environment for talent development, promote international innovation and entrepreneurship, and spur more international scientific research achievements at Yazhou Bay.
